Feature Add-Ons
Add-ons extend your plan with specialized modules. Each one unlocks a powerful set of features for your whole business, is billed as its own line item on your subscription, and can be easily toggled on or off from Settings > Billing. DayZero offers seven add-on modules; all seven are unlocked during your 30-day free trial, so you can evaluate everything and keep only what you need. Clients of advisory firms can also receive add-ons bundled directly by their firm tier instead of purchasing them individually.
Key capabilities
- CFO Advisory Suite ($100/mo) — budgets, period close, 17 advanced financial reports, scheduled reports, month-end package, and subscription spend intelligence
- Commerce & Inventory ($75/mo) — full inventory management, purchase orders, Shopify & Square sync, and COGS tracking
- QoE & Due Diligence ($150/mo) — Quality-of-Earnings analysis, M&A due-diligence reports, transaction-readiness, and adjusted EBITDA workpapers
- Tax Advisory & Compliance ($75/mo) — tax planning, quarterly estimates, nexus analysis, and compliance prep
- Fixed Assets ($25/mo) — asset register, depreciation schedules, and asset lifecycle tracking
- AP Automation ($50/mo) — AP approval workflows, payment advisory, vendor contracts, and email-to-bill
- AI Pro ($50/mo) — custom AI workflows, anomaly detection, AI-powered bank rules, and 2,000 AI requests/month
- Prorated charge preview before you confirm enabling any add-on
- Automatic bundling via professional and enterprise firm tiers
- Safe toggling — disabling an add-on pauses access at the end of the billing cycle but never deletes your data
- Instant activation — toggling a feature on grants access to the module immediately
How it works
When you attempt to use an add-on feature, the system checks whether it is active for your business. All add-ons are active during your 30-day trial or when included by your advisory firm.

- Open Settings > Billing and scroll to the Add-Ons section.
- Review each add-on card's description and monthly price to see what it unlocks.
- Click the toggle to enable an add-on — a confirmation modal shows the prorated charge today and the monthly going forward amount before you confirm.
- To turn one off, toggle it and confirm — access continues until the end of the current billing period, with no immediate refund.
- Cards marked Included are granted by your firm tier or a special plan package and can't be toggled off individually.
- You need a payment method on file to toggle add-ons; otherwise, add one via Add Payment Method.
Pro tips
- Commerce & Inventory is essential for physical-product businesses — it manages the entire inventory system, purchase orders, and Shopify/Square sync, keeping menus hidden when not in use.
- AP Automation is high-ROI for firms processing many vendor bills — it unlocks the approval workflow, vendor contracts, payment advisory, and email-to-bill in one module.
- AI Pro pays for itself if you regularly exceed your AI quota: it raises the monthly allowance to 2,000 requests and unlocks anomaly detection, custom workflows, and AI bank rules.
- If you are on a Professional or Enterprise firm tier, check the bundle before buying — CFO Suite, Fixed Assets, and Tax Advisory (and more on Enterprise) are already included.
- Removing an add-on is completely safe: data is retained, so you can re-enable later and pick up where you left off.
- Use the quick links (e.g. from the AI usage widget) to jump straight to the relevant card on the Billing page.

How feature access works
When an add-on is not active, its respective menus and features in the sidebar are hidden or show a locked status badge. Enabling the add-on instantly unlocks these views for all members of your business.
Access is fully active when:
- Your business is in its 30-day free trial.
- You are using a demo business.
- You have enabled the add-on under Settings > Billing.
- Your advisory firm includes the module in their tier.
Billing and proration
- Enabling an add-on: When you enable an add-on mid-billing cycle, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remaining days of the current month. The confirmation modal will show you the exact prorated charge and the regular monthly price going forward.
- Disabling an add-on: When you disable an add-on, you will retain full access until the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for the remaining days.
- Invoice details: Your monthly invoice will show a clear breakdown of your base plan and any active add-ons, along with your next renewal date.
Firm-bundled add-ons
Advisory firm tiers grant add-ons to every managed client automatically:
- Professional bundles CFO Suite, Fixed Assets, and Tax Advisory.
- Enterprise bundles all seven modules.
Bundled add-ons appear as Included on client billing and are merged into the client's effective add-on list — there is no separate per-client charge for them.
